Spike's litter  was named after board games--thus Heroes Monopoly.  Spike came to live with us as a young puppy of 10 weeks old and was virtually housebroken from the day I picked him up.  On our 20 some hour trip home, he scratched at the kennel door when he had to go potty.  When these scratching episodes became more frequent, I realized he was using me to get out to investigate the new territory with no intention on having to go potty.

Spike is a dog who is non quarrelsome with dogs he meets or lives with, he usually likes to rub on them all at the shows and has gotten nipped from more than one little dog.  He doesn't understand this behavior, his ears go on his head, it cocks to the side and he looks confused.  He then barks his disapproval to them as they are wandering off.

Spike is the sire of two litters of puppies out of Dizzi, whelped October 20, 2001 and January 14, 2004.  All seem to have acquired his personality and they will be fun to show.  His daughter Greta stayed here with us and is a champion as well as his son Louie who lives in Wisconsin.  Another daughter Stella who was placed in a trailing/companion home was returned to me and placed in Denmark.  She got her first CC (challenge certificate) at her first show in Denmark at thier Clubshow.  She now has all 3 of her challenge certificates and needs to complete her trailing trials to become a Danish champiosnip.

Spike took Best of Breed at his second dog show over a special for his first major win of 4 points.   He has completed and graduated from beginners obedience, although I think the highlight for him was to visit all his dog friends not to learn to be an obedient dog.  A confident boy who loves all dogs and people, he is a joy to live with.

Spike finished his championship by going Winners Dog at the 2002 Eastern Specialty show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Way to go Spike!!
